Okay so, let me explain to you how awesome Iceland is at disaster control.
Last century, there were exactly 39 volcanic eruptions?
Do you know how many people died in the eruptions?
Two. A total of two. One of them was a geologist and the other was robbing an apothecary.
And we have an average of fifteen thousand earthquakes every year.
And a total of one person has died during said earthquakes. My geology teacher has named him “The Unluckiest Guy Of The 20th Century”
